Dr. Sithik Aliyar

Dr. Sithik Aliyar Pioneering research for a sustainable ocean and renewable future.

My research bridges high-fidelity simulations and experiments to understand wave–structure interactions and advance floating wind energy technologies.

About Dr. Sithik Aliyar

Engineering the future of offshore renewable energy.

I am an Assistant Professor at DTU Wind and Energy Systems and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow. My work sits at the intersection of ocean physics, numerical methods, and offshore engineering — advancing the accuracy of floating wind energy systems.

I develop novel CFD frameworks coupling OpenFOAM, OpenFAST, and MoorDyn that bridge the gap between computational prediction and physical reality — validated through tank experiments across Europe.
